This checks the safety sensors near the floor. Start closing the door, then wave your foot or a broom through the opening to break the beam between the two sensors. Test 3: The Balance Test
A well-balanced door is safer and easier on the opener. With the door closed, pull the red release cord to disconnect the opener, then lift the door halfway by hand.
