The Bottom Seal Frozen to the Ground
The rubber bottom seal can freeze to the concrete after rain or ice, so when you hit the button the door either will not lift or tears the seal trying. If you suspect it is frozen down, break the seal loose gently rather than forcing the opener, which can strain the motor or damage the door.
Opener Force Sensitivity
Because the door is harder to move in the cold, the opener can sense the extra resistance, think it has hit an obstruction, and stop or reverse. Dead Remote and Keypad Batteries
